.30"E. It stands at Makham Bay which is on the eastern coast of Phuket Island.

Access for vessels entering or leaving the Port is via a 120 m. wide chanel dredged to 9.0 m., with 1.5 km. in length. There is a 360 m. turning basin at the north of the quay. The Tidal range at spring tide is 2.7 m. |

Port of Phuket has 2 berths with a total quay length of 360 m. and a 30 m. wide apron. The depth of water along the quay is 10 m. The port is designed to serve both cargo vessel and passenger vessel. |  |

The major export cargoes are latex, rubber, and ilmenite ore. The major import cargoes are petroleum coke, equipment, and tin. |  |
